A little Japanese bakery, baked with love.

At Haru to Tsuki, we bake the soft, gentle breads we grew up with in Japan and share them with our local community in California.

Every loaf is made with care, so you can enjoy a little joy and a quiet moment in your everyday life.

A baker. A mother. The heart behind Haru to Tsuki.

I was born and raised in Japan, where soft, fresh breads from the neighborhood bakery were
always a part of everyday life.

After becoming a mother, I found myself thinking,

“I wish there were a little Japanese bakery like this near my family.”

So I decided to create it.

Haru to Tsuki is my way of sharing the breads I love from my childhood with my family and with
families right here in California.

More than bread.

My love for Japanese food and craftsmanship also extends to wagashi — traditional Japanese sweets.

I have studied the art of wagashi and create seasonal pieces by hand, inspired by the colors, shapes, and changing seasons of Japan.

That same attention to detail, patience, and care is at the heart of everything I bake.

  • Haru means “Spring.”
  • Tsuki means “Moon.”
  • Spring represents new beginnings and little moments of joy.
  • The moon represents a quiet moment of peace.

A little joy like spring.
A quiet moment like the moon.

Our Mission

Bread we feel good about serving to our own families.

At Haru to Tsuki, our mission is to make Japanese bread with the same thought and care we give to food made for our own families.

As a mother, I want to bake bread I feel good about putting on my child’s plate — thoughtfully made, comforting, and delicious.

And I want to share that same bread with families in our community.

Made with care.
Made for families.
Made to be shared.

For Our Community

We hope Haru to Tsuki becomes a little part of everyday family life in our community.

Through the farmers market, local connections, and one loaf at a time, we want to build a small bakery our community is happy to see grow.

Why “Haru to Tsuki”?

Haru means “Spring.” Tsuki means “Moon.”

Spring represents new beginnings and little moments of joy.

The moon represents a quiet moment of peace.

A little joy like spring.
A quiet moment like the moon.
